Terms of use
Last updated: 28 October 2026
These terms apply to the SavorBook app at my.savorbook.app. Creating an account means accepting them. How personal data is handled is described in the privacy policy.
The service
SavorBook is a free recipe manager and meal planner run by SavorBook support, based in Portugal. It is offered as it is, without a promise that it will always be available, free of errors or suited to a particular purpose. Features can change, and the service can end.
The account
One account is for one person. The email address has to be one you can receive mail at. Keep the password private, and write to [email protected] on any sign that someone else has used the account.
Content
Whoever adds recipes, photos, notes and plans to SavorBook keeps whatever rights they have in them. Adding them grants SavorBook a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, process and display them, only as far as running the service needs. The license ends when the content is deleted, apart from backup copies, which expire as the privacy policy describes. SavorBook does not publish the content or share it beyond what that policy describes.
Importing a recipe from another site or a photo is meant for personal use. You are responsible for having the right to add what you add.
Recipe import with AI
The AI import turns text and screenshots into a recipe, and it can get things wrong. Check ingredients, amounts, allergens and cooking instructions such as temperatures and times before cooking from an imported recipe.
Acceptable use
SavorBook may not be used to break the law, to store content that infringes someone else’s rights, to attack or overload the service, to get around its limits, or to access another account. An account used this way can be suspended or deleted.
Liability
SavorBook is free, so liability is limited as far as the law allows: SavorBook support is not liable for indirect loss, lost data or lost profit. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, such as for intent or gross negligence, and nothing takes away rights a consumer has under the mandatory law of the country they live in.
Ending the account
An account can be closed at any time by writing to [email protected]. Its data is then deleted as the privacy policy describes.
Law and changes
Portuguese law governs these terms. When they change, the date at the top changes with them. Questions go to [email protected].
